Guardiola, Ajax, Lecce: so many celebrations between titles and promotions around Europe
Another weekend behind us, another weekend less in this season almost arrived at the final moments. In Serie A it’s only fourth place challenge to keep the championship alive: Atalanta, Milan, Turin, Lazio and even AS Roma won, in the big-match of the day against Juventus. But under the spotlights, more than the Allegri’s boys, were the new and much talked-about jerseys without vertical stripes. Among the verdicts still to be awarded there is the one concerning the last relegated club: the winning of Udinese and Empoli resoundingly suck Genoa and Fiorentina. From Serie B, in the meanwhile, the promotion of Liverani’s Lecce is official.
The Premier League is over, in the way we all expected: Guardiola and his Manchester City have won, with a single point more than Liverpool’s rivals. A top duel also ended in Eredivisie, where Ajax just won, with a +14 in goal difference practically irrecoverable in the last 90 minutes. We will have to wait instead to proclaim the winner of the Bundesliga, with Bayern Monaco that failed the first match point in Leipzig. For the more nostalgic: Godin played the last game with the Atletico shirt, Van Persie say stop with football.
