With the top four battle getting closer and closer, the Gunners may need to win the Europa League to get back into the Champions League next season. But, they’ll have to get past a strong Napoli side first.
Arsenal had a four-game winning streak snapped on the weekend when they were outplayed in a 1-0 loss at Goodison Park against Everton. The Gunners are unbeaten at home this season in the Europa League heading into Thursday.
Napoli have won twice in six games and are coming off a 1-1 draw with Genoa after Dries Mertens got their lone goal. The Italians have won once in their last four away games.
The sides last met each other in 2013 in the group stage when they both won their home fixtures 2-0.
Arsenal last faced Italian opposition in the round of 16 last season when they knocked out AC Milan.
The winner will face either Valencia or Villarreal in the semifinals.
