Club football returns with plenty of mouth watering clashes, it starts tonight with the derby Rhonalpin which has proved to be one of the fiercest derby in French football and it’s sure to be a classic as each team has lost once and drawn twice in the last 6 league matches with Lyon on position 4 and St Étienne on position 5.
On Saturday the match to watch in the EPL will be the London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea, two teams which are in position 4 and 3 respectively, though Chelsea would want to keep their unbeaten record intact, it’s going to be a tough task for them considering Spurs are in a good form of winning five matches in the last 6 games in the league with the loss coming from Manchester City.
In La Liga the standout fixture this weekend will be between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, two teams separating each other with a point. This game will offer real clues as to how the title race may develop because a win for Atleti will take them 2 points ahead of Barca and a loss will take them 4 points behind them. Though the Catalans lost their last match which was against Betis at Cam Nou, they’ll still go into this match with confidence knowing they have never lost a league match against Diego Simeone’s side… but again this would be as good a time as any for Atletico Madrid to end that curse considering they’ve been in good form winning last four matches.
